課程概述 |
本課程的重點是飼料作物生產和生長栽培，例如，物種特性、適應性、永續性種子生產、收穫作業、牲畜餵養利用與貯存方面。本課程主要強調重要飼用作物的生長及其管理特點。
The focus of this course is to feed crop production and the growth of cultivation, for example, species characteristics, adaptation, and sustainable cultivation of seed production, the main aspects of the harvest, livestock feed utilization and storage. This course emphasizes the growth and management characteristics of important forage.

課程目標 |
1. To understand the role of forages in sustainable food production.
（了解飼用作物在永續糧食生產所扮演的角色）
2. To know the most commonly grown forages and recognize their suitability in terms of climate, soil, and livestock use.
（了解一般飼用作物的生長及其對氣候、土壤及牲畜利用的適應性）
3. To learn how forage management relates to forage production and nutritive value.
（了解管理方式對飼用作物生產及營養價值的相關性）
4. To realize how forages are evaluated for their value to livestock .
（了解如何評估飼用作物的優劣）
5. Be able to utilize the above information to solve real problems facing livestock producers. （了解如何解決家畜生產者的實際問題）

課程要求 |
Students will
l. be able to identify and describe at least thirty main forage crops and understand their culture systems.
（能夠辨別及描述至少30種以上飼用作物並熟悉其栽培系統）
2. be able to describe restrictions in Taiwan forage production and pasture planting important.
（能夠描述台灣飼料生產及牧草種植的重要性）
3. be able to directly observe the growth of the main plant legumes and grasses, and describe the characteristics of its different growth periods.
（能夠直接觀察主要豆科及禾本科飼用作物的生長，並清楚不同生長時期的差異）
4. be able to integrate the soil, plants, and nutrition concept to describe the conditions needed processes, management and utilization of forage crops, have been established and environmentally friendly production systems.
（能夠整合土壤、植株及營養等觀點，來描述飼料作物栽培管理的必須過程，並建立環境親合性栽培的生產系統）
